About Me...
| Hi! My name is Kari and I'm a doll addict... errrr, I mean doll ARTIST! Please meet Li, the Lichen Fairy. She is the main reason I am now a doll customizer and repainter. Li was a playline Barbie from the thrift store, and the very first Barbie I made into an OOAK fairy. (She's not my first repaint, but I'll spare you the horror.) I listed Li on eBay in January 2006 and was ECSTATIC when she sold. I spent most of the year of 2006 making Barbie Fairies, then gradually testing the waters on other types of dolls. I am still overjoyed when someone loves a doll I have made, and have had the pleasure of creating custom dream dolls for a few people too. My husband and three sons are my biggest supporters. My husband has tolerated watching a basket of Barbies slowly turn into a house full of dolls. He does all my final critiques and cheers me on daily.
